He just doesn't get it

One of these days, it may just dawn on Bush that the reason the United States is in danger is not because it lacks an 'intelligence czar', but that it persists in brutalizing democracies that stand against it, and propping up dictatorships that are beneficial to its national interests. The fact that the war in Iraq has created a brand new breeding ground for Al Qeada, and a rallying cry for disaffected Muslims throughout the middle-east, also helps sow the seeds of violence. I am reminded of the quote from Star Wars, where Leia tells Darth Vader 'the more you tighten your grip, the more systems will slip through your fingers'.
