Is this news surprising to anyone? Despite the fact that Butler gave him a clear pass and had no hesitations in recommending he take over MI6, allegations like this serve to undermine his credibility... how can we possibly trust any 'intelligence' that comes our way now that we've seen the shabby hand of deception that was involved in smudging the whole thing over?
